SUPER FEMINA SECURES LANDMARK DEAL FOR RAEKWON THE CHEF’S NEWALBUM AS PART OF MASS APPEAL’S “LEGEND HAS IT…” SERIES

April 2025 – New York, NY – In a monumental collaboration that bridges legacy and innovation, Super Femina Entertainment is proud to announce that it has secured a groundbreaking deal with Mass Appeal for the release of Raekwon The Chef’s forthcoming album, Emperor’s New Clothes. The album will be released as part of Legend Has It…, Mass Appeal’s highly anticipated campaign featuring seven new albums from seven legendary Hip Hop acts. Legend Has It… is a historic initiative from Mass Appeal that will spotlight some of the most iconic figures in Hip Hop history. The series features heavyweight projects from Slick Rick (in partnership with Idris Elba’s 7Wallace Music), Nas & DJ Premier, Ghostface Killah, MobbDeep, Big L, De La Soul, and now, Raekwon The Chef—whose involvement was brokered through Super Femina Entertainment, led by Raekwon’s longtime manager Rashida Watler. “This is more than just a record—this is a statement,” said Rashida Watler, CEO of Super Femina Entertainment and manager of Raekwon. “Raekwon’s artistry continues to evolve, and Emperor’s New Clothes is the next chapter in a legacy that’s already cemented in Hip Hop history. We’re proud to have worked closely with Mass Appeal to ensure this vision came to life as part of such a meaningful cultural moment.”

The Legend Has It… series is a tribute to the artists who helped shape the DNA of Hip Hop— MCs, producers, and DJs who have taken their storytelling from the streets of New York to the global stage. With Raekwon’s upcoming release, fans can expect a deeply personal and lyrically masterful album that holds true to his Wu-Tang roots while pushing new creative boundaries. In true celebration of Hip Hop’s past, present, and future, the series will also include posthumous releases honoring the legacies of Prodigy (Mobb Deep), Trugoy The Dove (De La Soul), and Big L.
